About Myself

I am a second year undergraduate studying Law with Law studies in Europe (French Law) at Balliol College, Oxford. My degree involves spending a year in Paris studying for a French law degree, which will allow me to become dual qualified and gain fluency in French.

Prior to university I attended the Henrietta Barnett School, a leading grammar school in North London, where I achieved 10A*s in my GCSEs, 5As in my AS Levels and 2A*3As in my A levels.

Tutoring Approach

I have a relaxed and friendly attitude to tutoring as I believe this is the best way to ensure that students feel comfortable coming to me for help. However, I am incredibly thorough. I like to go into a large degree of depth and pay great attention to detail when offering advice and feedback. My coaching experience has taught me to be flexible in my approach to teaching and I have thus learnt to tailor my tutoring style to the needs of the individual.

Teaching Experience

I have successfully mentored many law applications through tutoring services, family friends and a mentoring scheme at my secondary school. This has included all stages of the application. I have helped candidates choose their college by creating comparison tables based on their criteria and mine or my peers' experiences at various colleges; given feedback on and redrafting personal statements; aiding preparation for the LNAT by marking essays and working through questions; and offering interview advice, past/possible questions and mock interviews. I also have experience working as an English tutor for students in Paris and a netball coach. I therefore understand the best ways to communicate when trying to teach new concepts, and the importance of setting goals to track development.

Extracurricular Interests

I am Vice-Captain of the Oxford University Athletics Club and compete in the first team as a "blues" athlete, specialising in 100m and 200m. I also play netball for Balliol college, and am currently the Secretary and President-elect of Balliol's law society.
